ORDER FAQS

WHAT IS THE BEST TYPE OF PICTURE TO UPLOAD/SEND?
The picture of your pet should be clear and sharp with accurate color and detail. The better the photo, the better I will be able to capture the essence of your pet. With pets, as with people, the eyes are the window to the soul. That’s why a clear-eyed, (no red-eye) close-up photo is best. I also prefer a straight-on shot, as opposed to a profile or three quarter view. Here are a few examples:

Bronx-image       eeyore- image       Golden-image

If you are uploading, image files need to be high-resolution and in one of these file formats: jpg or jpeg, png, and pdf. You may also send a printed photo to: Sandra Charlap, 55 Kendal Ave., Maplewood, NJ, 07040.

HOW DO I PAY?
Payment can be made by PayPal, by credit card via PayPal, or by personal check. (Note: Credit Card payments are processed through PayPal, however, YOU DO NOT NEED TO SETUP a PayPal account to pay by credit card.)

WHAT ARE THE SHIPPING CHARGES?
Shipping and handling are an additional charge determined upon placement of your order. You will be invoiced for shipping & handling.

WHEN WILL THE PORTRAIT BE COMPLETED?
I will do my absolute best to meet deadlines for each commission ordered, dependent upon current works in progress. Most portraits can be completed within 3-4 weeks. Rush orders can be completed within one week for an additional 25% charge upfront.

Once your portrait is complete, I will email you a digital copy for your approval. You may then accept the painting or suggest changes. I will then make any necessary adjustments and then send you another digital copy for your approval.

Upon final approval, I will send the painting to you. If, for whatever reason, you decide not to take possession of the portrait, I will keep it and the deposit. I retain the rights to any digital representation of the portrait which you have received during the process.
